Slenderman x Reader
[Reader's POV]
"Well screw you too then," You said as you grabbed your sling bag and slammed the door behind you, marching towards the fence, making sure to stomp as loudly as possible. The nerve of them. Your mom had given you an earful for failing your maths test, your dad backing her up. She screamed at you to come back inside, but that just made you want to retreat as quick as possible.
Life is a bore these days, you thought, as you trudged along the grass with your old converse sneakers. Ever since you entered High School, things just got shittier; you slowly drifted apart from your friends, and your grades hit a new low. 'But what does mom and dad do? Trail my every move like bloodhounds and go apeshit if I make one wrong move. Pfft.' you thought. You tsked and kicked a nearby rock out of anger. Nobody understood how you felt.

Feeling rebellious, you decided take a walk in the woods nearby which was strictly out of bounds, despite it being already dark outside. At this point you didn't even care, you just wanted to get away from everybody.

~30 minute timeskip~

You ventured too far into the woods. It was really dark, and every tree looked the same. You had tried to find your way back, but it was hopeless. You regretted making that impressive departure earlier, and you wanted to go home.
Lost in your own thoughts you didn't realise how long you walked.  
Suddenly, a bush rattled loudly somewhere to your left. Startled, you snapped out of your trance, alert and a bit scared. Swinging your bag from your shoulder and taking out your flashlight, you pointed it at the suspecting bush and a wild hare popped out from it's hiding spot, lifting it's little nose in the air towards you. How cute.
Then it jerked it's furry head, perking up it's ears, looked directly at something behind your shoulder, and scurried straight to the opposite direction, disappearing within sight. 'Huh?' you said as you turned around to see what could have scared off the little hare.
That was when you saw him.

The Slenderman.

He stood tall, almost 10 ft, and was dressed smartly in a black suit. Whatever skin that was exposed was a pale, sheet white. Though the most peculiar thing about him was his face, because he had none, no eyes, nose, mouth, no facial features whatsoever.
You stared at him and trembled, unable to speak. His expressionless face stared back. Your initial reaction was to run, as fast as you can, away from him, but you couldn't. The aura emitted from him was intriguing, mysterious, maybe even a bit charming. It was soothing to you, but you still were unsure about the creature. Still staring, wide-eyed, the only sounds that could be heard was your rapid breathing and tree branches rustling in the wind.
You didn't know what to do.

'Am I hallucinating? Is he dangerous? Will he harm me? He doesn't seem aggressive.' A million thoughts raced inside your head while your heart pounded in your chest. 'Alright. Okay. Breathe. Remember what mom used to say? Always stay calm, despite the situation.'

[Slendy's POV]
'What a strange human,' thought Slenderman. He cocked his head to the side, observing the little girl. 'She won't run, nor scream like the others usually do. Nonetheless, she will make an easier prey to feed on.'  He started to contemplate  on whether he was going to cut her open with his claws or squeeze her to death with his tendrils, when the girl did something which greatly shocked him.
"Uhm, s-sir, would you, know the way out of the woods? I'm k-kinda lost." She nervously asked Slenderman. 'What? Is there something wrong with this girl? She is conversing with me as if I were another human being. How curious. I guess I will play along with her antics before I consume her.'

[Reader's POV]
You decided to play it cool and casually ask him for directions out of the forest. Seems crazy, but… You guessed it was a better resort than running away and getting chased by something with legs as long as your whole body height. You waited in fear for the creature's response. Even with his lack of expression, you could tell he was thinking.
Finally, he slowly walks past you and turns around, beckoning you to follow. You flinched and immediately ran behind him obediently. This 'being' is somebody you definitely did not want to piss off.
The two of you started walking. Well, if you could call it that. It was more like Slenderman walking, with you trotting along to keep up with his huge steps. You were relieved that he didn't murder you on the spot, but at the same time you were scared because you didn't know where he was leading you. "Th-thankyou for helping me." you said, trying to be polite. He looked back and simply nodded.
After a while you managed to see some lights through the thick mass of trees. Seconds later, your house was visible.
[Slendy's POV]
The edge of the forest was where Slenderman originally planned to kill     (Y/N)    . But, right when he was about to do it, right when he was going to strike, she did something that yet again, astounded him. Something that no other human did within his presence. She smiled.
 'The corners of her mouth are turning up until I could see her teeth. Is that some kind of human trick? None of my victims have done that before.' He was thoroughly confused.
It wasn't just the bizarre action, it was also the effect it had on him. When she did it, Slenderman felt something. A tingly, warm sensation that touched even the darkest part of his heart. It was odd, but nice and satisfying at the same time. None of his victims made him feel like this before.
He decided not to kill the human girl. He wanted to keep her around for awhile longer.

[Your POV]
"Thank you again. You really saved me from a tight spot." You said, and you couldn't help but smile at your faceless saviour. You were so relieved you were going to make it out of the forest alive. He nodded at you, which you took as a 'you're welcome'. He turned back to head to the forest, but you cried after him. "Wait! Could tell me your name before you go?" He faced you and paused. He hesitated a bit. Then he lifted up a long, white finger and started carving onto a tree bark. You peered at the bark and saw that he had wrote "Slenderman" on it. "I see. Slenderman. Hey, is it okay if I visit you sometime?" You don't know what made you ask that, it just came out without thinking. Blushing at your own question, you looked up shyly for a response.
To your surprise, he nodded, and this time, there was no pause or hesitation.
"Oh," You said happily. "I'll see you around then. Bye, Slenderman!" Silently celebrating your success you skipped back home, only to be greeted by your very angry parents, got scolded again and grounded for a week.  But nothing could change your content mood.

You smiled to yourself while lay in bed. You definitely were looking forward to seeing him again.
